we have food at home.
~ingredients:
- 1 lb flank steak (sliced against the grain)
- beef marinade: 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp corn starch, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tbsp oil
- fresh rice noodles (or dry)
- 3 green onion (cut into 2 inch pieces)
- 1/2 yellow onion (sliced)
- sauce: 1.5 tbsp soy sauce, 1.5 tbsp oyster sauce, 1.5 tbsp dark soy sauce
~instructions:
- Marinade your flank steak for a minimum of 30 minutes, or overnight if you have the time!
- If fresh rice noodles, cut into 1 inch strips. If dry rice noodles, cook according to package directions and set aside.
- Mix together the sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Once ready to cook, drizzle a little more oil over the meat with a tsp of corn starch.
- Heat your oiled wok on high heat (not too much oil, the beef slices has enough oil). Once the wok is smoking, add in your beef slices.
- Sear the beef slices for a minute before flipping and stirring. When the beef slices are 80% cooked, remove and set aside.
- Add a little more oil into the wok, and once hot, add the onions and green onion. Stir fry until onions are translucent (2-3 minutes).
- Add in the noodles, and sauce. Mix thoroughly before adding back in the beef slices. Cook for another minute.
- Turn off the heat and drizzle some sesame oil on top before serving. Enjoy!
