we have food at home.
~ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of oil
- garlic (4 cloves, sliced)
- basil (a bunch)
- onion (halved)
- san marzano tomatoes (28oz can)
- butter
- salt
- sugar
- red pepper flakes
~instructions:
- Heat up oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and basil until fragrant and basil has wilted. Remove from heat and let cool
- Melt butter in a pan, and place the white onion halves, cut side down. Sear the onion in the melted butter (7 min)
- Pour in a can of san marzano crushed tomatoes (I like these the most but any crushed tomatoes can work)
- Bring to boil and then simmer
- In the meantime, blend the basil steeped oil
- Add in the basil steeped oil to the sauce and stir
- Seasoning to your liking with salt. Add sugar if too acidic. You can also add any additional seasonings at this time
- Once ready, you can add in your pasta! Enjoy ๐
