we have food at home.
~ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 3 birds eye chilies
- 5 cloves garlic
- 3 shallots
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/3 cup water w/ 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 cup thai basil leaves
~instructions:
- Thinly slice your garlic and shallots (i like to use a mandoline)
- De-seed the birds eye chilies, and thinly slice. Retain some seeds depending on your preferred spice level.
- Remove the leaves from the thai basil leaves, and set aside. Discard the stems.
- Heat a wok over high heat with oil. Once hot, add in the garlic, shallot, and chilies. Fry for a minute, until fragrant.
- Add in the ground chicken, and fry for 2 minutes before breaking into small pieces.
- Add in the sugar, dark soy sauce, and fish sauce. Stir fry for another minute.
- Add in the water/chicken bouillon mixture and let the group chicken cook for another minute.
- Add in the basil and stir fry until wilted. Turn off the fire once the basil is wilted.
- Enjoy over rice!
