~ingredients:
- 1 lb beef slices
- 1/2 can of corn
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 green onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- black pepper
- sauce:
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup white rice
- 1 cup water
~instructions:
- Mince 3 garlic cloves, and set aside.
- Chop the green onion on a diagonal for garnish later, set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Rinse and drain 1 cup of rice repeatedly until the water runs clear, then add 1 cup of water to the rice pot.
- Add the minced garlic to the rice pot, and stir it into the rice.
- Add about half a can of corn to the rice.
- Layer the beef slices on top of the corn.
- Pour the sauce over the beef.
- Place the rice pot into the rice cooker, and cook on the regular setting.
- Note: If your rice cooker has a quick setting, this works too!
- Once done, open the rice cooker and add 1 tbsp of butter.
- Garnish with green onion, and additional black pepper.
- Mix the beef pepper rice until the butter is completely melted.
- Serve, and enjoy!
