rice cooker beef pepper rice

~ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef slices
  • 1/2 can of corn
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • black pepper
  • sauce:
    • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 cup water

~instructions:

  1. Mince 3 garlic cloves, and set aside.
  2. Chop the green onion on a diagonal for garnish later, set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients and set aside.
  4. Rinse and drain 1 cup of rice repeatedly until the water runs clear, then add 1 cup of water to the rice pot.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the rice pot, and stir it into the rice.
  6. Add about half a can of corn to the rice.
  7. Layer the beef slices on top of the corn.
  8. Pour the sauce over the beef.
  9. Place the rice pot into the rice cooker, and cook on the regular setting.
    • Note: If your rice cooker has a quick setting, this works too!
  10. Once done, open the rice cooker and add 1 tbsp of butter.
  11. Garnish with green onion, and additional black pepper.
  12. Mix the beef pepper rice until the butter is completely melted.
  13. Serve, and enjoy!
