gochujang creamy pasta

ingredients:

  • pasta of your choice
  • 3 gloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup pasta water
  • handful of spinach
  • protein of your choice
  • parmesan cheese
  • pepper

instructions:

  1. Bring a pot of water to boil and salt generously before throwing in your pasta to cook. 
  2. In a separate pan, cook your protein of choice. In this video I used chicken meatballs from trader joe’s. Remove from pan and set aside. 
  3. With a little oil in a hot pan, toast your garlic for 30 seconds. Then, add in gochujang, heavy cream, and milk. 
  4. Stir the gochujang until combined with the heavy cream and milk to form the sauce. 
  5. By now, pasta should be cooked so add in the pasta along with 1/2 cup of pasta water. Toss to combine and add in your spinach. 
  6. When the spinach wilts, add in some parmesan cheese and mix. You can also mix in your protein if you’d like. 
  7. Crack some fresh pepper and serve!
