we have food at home.
~pork patty ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork (fattier ground pork will result in juicier patty)
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 scallions (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp lemongrass (minced)
~sauce:
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 birds eye chili (chopped, seeds optional depending on your spice tolerance)
- 1 clove garlic
~instructions:
- Mix the pork patty ingredients together in a bowl.
- Using your hands, form 6 mini patties with the pork mixture. Set aside.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Heat up your pan over medium heat and add 2 tbsp of oil to start.
- Once hot, add the patties into the pan and cook for 2 minutes, or until seared and the pork is cooked halfway through.
- Flip, and cook for another 2 minutes. Add more oil if needed. Be careful not to overcook the patties, the pork will get dry and tough if overcooked. To check if the pork is done, you can pry one of the patties open to check 🙂
- Once done, remove from pan and you can serve over rice with a side of veggie for a simple meal!
