we have food at home.
~ingredients:
- shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 lb snap peas
- 1 carrot
- 1/2 onion
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp water
~instructions:
- Mix the following for the sauce: 1tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp corn starch, 1 tbsp shaoxing wine, 1 tbsp water
- In a pot of boiling water, blanch the snap peas and carrots for 1 minute, and then drain. Set aside.
- In a hot wok, add about a tbsp of oil and then add garlic. Toast for 30 seconds or until fragrant.
- Add in onions and cook until they’re translucent.
- Add in snap peas and carrots, mix and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add a sprinkle of salt.
- Add in the shrimp and cook for another 3 minutes. Add in a splash of shaoxing wine when shrimp is halfway cooked through.
- Add in the sauce we made in step 1 when the shrimp is almost done. Mix thoroughly.
- Turn off the heat, add a drizzle of sesame oil, mix, and its ready to serve!
- Enjoy over rice 🙂
