we have food at home.

~ingredients:

  • pork belly
  • minced garlic
  • white onion
  • doenjang paste (fermented soybean paste)
  • water
  • zucchini
  • enoki mushrooms
  • tofu (soft or silken)
  • green onion

~instructions: 

  1. Mince your garlic, dice your onion and green onion. Marinate pork belly with some salt and white pepper. 
  2. Heat up your dolsot (stone pot), must be hot before throwing in the pork belly. 
  3. Once pork belly is seared and browned, throw in garlic and onion, mix 
  4. When onion starts to get translucent, add a heaping spoonful of the doenjang (soybean paste) and mix 
  5. Once mixed with the paste, add in 2 1/2 cups of water. Optional: add in chicken powder or fish sauce for more flavor 
  6. Throw in zucchini and enoki mushrooms, cover and cook for about 20 minutes on medium 
  7. Uncover and add in the tofu, cook for another 3 minutes. (Optional: add in an egg)
  8. Garnish with green onion and serve with rice. Enjoy!
